This forum is ONLY for people in or recovering from relationships with sex/love/porn addicts. This is not a support forum for other addictions, although sometimes more than one addiction is involved.

It is also NOT a forum for friends or family because of privacy concerns. It is admirable that you want to help your friend recover, but everyone is responsible for their own recovery. We have found from past experience that people will open up more and gain more benefits from the forum if they don't have to worry about watching every word because "someone they know" is a member. Please respect their privacy! You can best support them by offering them a non-judgemental ear to what they have to say.

You must FULLY answer the questions so we know why you feel you need this forum. A simple, "I need help" is NOT going to get you in. We apologize for this, but it's to make sure you're in the right place. It's nothing personal, everyone has to do it. You do not need to give us your life history, but we need to know that you feel you need this forum because of a related issue, not just because you are in a bad relationship.

One word answer applications WILL be rejected without notice.

This forum is run by volunteers. This means sometimes it will take several days for apps to be processed. If you don't hear anything (and you didn't just put one word answers on the form!) please send us an email to make sure we received your app. Sometimes server burps happen and they get lost in cyber space.

You MUST read and accept the terms and conditions before finalizing your app.

When you submit your application, we will manually register you to the discussion forum and send you a SEPARATE login information email. You MUST click on the confirmation link in that email to activate your discussion forum membership.

If you share a computer with the sex addict, we STRONGLY recommend you use a Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, or other type of email for your security. Make sure to use a user ID and password they cannot guess.

We apologize if this sounds gruff, but we are getting a LOT of applications every week from people not reading the guidelines before filling out their application.

The reason we have you go through this is to help protect the privacy of the entire list membership. People are approved if they properly fill out the application and meet the criteria for membership, and your privacy will also be protected as a member. Thank you!
